About speaker
Serhii Makogon started his career in business consulting and auditing, at first with Morgan Stanley (New York), and since September 2005 with Deloitte (Kiev). From 2007 to 2014, he held senior management positions at Microsoft Ukraine.
In May 2014, he joined NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine, being involved in reforming the oil and gas sector and creating the natural gas market in Ukraine.
From 2015 to 2019 working in executive positions at JSC Ukrtransgaz (Naftogaz Group), he was responsible for the creation of the long-term development strategy for the Ukrainian GTS, initiated the development and implementation of the new GTS Code and UGSF Code, launched new services “customs warehouse” and short-haul to make the Ukrainian GTS and UGSF more attractive for international companies.
As the General Director of LLC Gas TSO of Ukraine (2019-2022), Serhii Makogon implemented the best practices and international standards to fully integrate the GTS of Ukraine into the European gas transmission network.
On August 24, 2020, according to the Decree of the President of Ukraine, he was awarded the Order “For Merits” of the 3rd degree.
